At CIF Construction Ltd., we are looking for a Concrete Mixer Driver in Prince George to work with us at job sites across Western Canada.
The Concrete Mixer Driver is responsible for safely operating, transporting, and maintaining ready-mix concrete trucks to support a variety of heavy civil construction projects. This role plays a critical part in delivering concrete efficiently and accurately in diverse environments, including isolated and industrial worksites. As such, we are looking for someone with experience operating ready-mix trucks, a valid Class 1 or Class 3 manual driver's licence with an air brakes endorsement, and a strong commitment to safe equipment operation. A valid WHMIS certification is also required.
You will work closely with site supervisors, batch plant personnel, and concrete crews to ensure pours are completed safely, on schedule, and to quality standards while upholding CIF’s commitment to workmanship, safety, and reliability. We would also consider a valid First Aid certificate an asset. Candidates should have at least three years of related work experience and a demonstrated commitment to working safely.
This position operates at active construction sites in rural locations throughout Western Canada on a rotational 14-days-on, 14-days-off schedule or a 14-days-on, 7-days-off schedule with 10–12-hour shifts, depending on the job site. The Concrete Mixer Driver has a $37.85–$45.91 per hour wage plus overtime pay.
This work requires travel to isolated job sites and the ability to live in camp accommodations for extended periods. Duties are performed outdoors in demanding environments with conditions that include rain, snow, extreme heat, and sub-zero temperatures. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-driven, physically resilient, and ready to work where the job takes us.

Duties
- Loading, driving, and operating a ready-mix truck, delivering concrete from our batch plant to various work fronts on site.
- Performing pre-operational and post-operational safety inspections on equipment.
- Completing daily equipment reports and advising supervisors of any required maintenance or repairs.
- Operating equipment in a safe and efficient manner to meet production targets.
- Working and operating in all weather conditions.
- Communicating effectively and professionally with dispatch, other operators, and supervisors.
- Cleaning, lubricating, and refueling equipment.
- Working in tight and deep spaces, as well as congested areas.
- Maintaining ground conditions and operating within environmental guidelines.
- Observing the safe distribution of concrete and other materials.
- Ensuring sites are kept clean and safe.
- Attending meetings and reviewing procedures and legislation to ensure responsible equipment operation.
Qualifications
- At least three years of related work experience.
- Demonstrated commitment to working safely.
- Valid Class 1 or Class 3 manual driver’s licence with an air brakes endorsement and a clean driver's abstract.
- Equipment maintenance skills including oil changes and hose replacements.
- Strong work ethic and a positive team-oriented attitude.
- Effective communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Experience working on industrial projects in isolated locations.
- Valid WHMIS certification.
- Valid First Aid certificate is an asset.

Education
We’re looking for candidates with a valid WHMIS certification and a valid Class 1 or Class 3 manual driver’s license with an air brakes endorsement. We do not require any degrees or diplomas for this position and would consider work experience in a Concrete Mixer Driver or related position to be more important.
