Description
We are looking for two Site Cleaner / Labourers to join our team at a mine site near Prince George, BC. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a rotational schedule and takes pride in keeping a busy construction site clean, organized, and operating efficiently.
It's a camp-based position located at a mine site near Prince George, BC, working a 13 days on / 15 days off rotational schedule on 12-hour night shifts. The hourly rate is $31.48 per hour, plus a night shift premium and travel allowance.
Duties
The primary focus of this position is janitorial and site cleaning, with additional labourer duties as required. Responsibilities will include:
- Detailing and cleaning crew trucks and vehicles
- Cleaning and maintaining heavy equipment
- Washing and cleaning vehicles as required
- Cleaning office trailers and common areas
- Cleaning lunchrooms, break areas, and other camp/site facilities
- Maintaining clean and sanitary washroom areas
- Cleaning and maintaining the concrete batch plant and surrounding areas
- Emptying garbage and maintaining waste areas
- Sweeping, mopping, dusting, and general housekeeping
- Supporting site crews with general labour duties as required
- Assisting with maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment
- Following all site, company, and safety procedures
- Performing other duties as assigned
Qualifications
The successful candidate will be someone who:
- Has a valid Class 5 Driver's Licence
- Takes pride in maintaining a clean and organized work environment
- Has strong attention to detail
- Is comfortable working independently during night shifts
- Is physically capable of performing cleaning and general labour duties for extended periods
- Is reliable, dependable, and safety-conscious
- Can work effectively in a remote camp environment
- Previous industrial, construction, camp, janitorial, or labour experience is considered an asset
- Previous experience around heavy equipment or a concrete batch plant is considered an asset
- Comfortable working in all weather conditions
